We are looking for a Laboratory Technician (Intern) from August 2023.
Role Responsibilities
The role holder will be responsible for the following:
- Provide support to science teachers and students before and during their work in the laboratory.
- Be present in the laboratories for guidance of project works.
- Help prepare the necessary materials/solutions and equipment for the weekly practical lessons.
- Check inventory of lab equipment and organise lab equipment in appropriate storage spaces with clear labels indicating the equipment within each storage place.
- Help organise the purchase of materials, chemicals and instrumentation.
- Ensure care and maintenance of science labs and request maintenance for fixtures, fittings and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
Qualifications
- A relevant bachelor’s degree (eg: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or another related field).
- Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).
- Immaculate police check(s).
Contract Duration
Six-month paid internship, with the possibility for extension and transformation.
Experience
- Similar experiences in other school environments (nice-to-have)
- Specialist skills & knowledge.
- Ability to use digital tools and resources effectively.
- Planning and organisational skills.
- Fluent C1 level English and Italian: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR).
