For our Corporate Education team we are looking for a brilliant:

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – EDUCATION

As a business development manager, you'll identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business growth.
Your work will involve careful strategic planning as well as support the design education solutions and enhancing the operation of the business, position or reputation in the market. You will work to maximize the business opportunities through tight collaboration with all the organizations of the group.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

As a business development manager, you'll need to:

  • research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets and increase the revenues coming from current customers, partners and organizations
  • seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • generate leads and cold call prospective customers
  • foster and develop relationships with customers/clients within communication identity and guidelines
  • understand your customers needs and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
  • support educations solutions design, sharing timely feedback from the market in order to customize the offer to meet customer expectations
  • support the definition of client contracts, within company guidelines and approval process
  • ensure tight collaboration throughout the organisation to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
  • Identify opportunity for upselling to existing customers and across business units
  • keep abreast of trends and changes in the corporate education trends
  • support the planning of sales campaigns managing calendar and reporting 
  • Support the negotiation of pricing with customers, and suppliers in some cases
  • carry out sales forecasts, reporting and dedicated analysis presenting the findings to senior management
  • Support the definition and marketing strategy and tools for your area of responsibility

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • MBA, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred 
  • 5+ years sales experience in education and training solutions design and business development
  • Comfortable talking to partners and customers about solutions, and positioning of H Farm ecosystem
  • Self-motivated proactive business developer; must be comfortable making a high volume of lead generating and proactive business opportunities development 
  • Flexibility – ability to adapt to changing markets, customers and company 
  • Ability to interpret the need of the customer and lead offer generation within the existing solution portfolio or enhancing the existing offers
  • Strong presentation/demonstration skills 
  • Effective working directly with prospects, clients, and account executives  
  • Ability to quickly earn customer confidence 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of activities with varying priorities 
  • Can perform day-to-day work with minimal supervision, and new and/or complex assignments with more detailed direction 
  • Partner Management experience; with history of growing channel revenues
  • Professional phone, email, and presentation skills 
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills 
  • Strong negotiation and excellent analytical skills 
  • Availability to travel 50% of the time to meet customers and prospects
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Previous experience in Education or Edutech is a plus
  • Experience with Italian or EU financed education/training project will be a plus 

 

The position will be initially as fixed term contract with a strong potential career progression
